Genco Method Coaching with Precision

Establishing Coaching Agreement with Mastery

Coaching with Superior Efficiency and Effectiveness under 30 minutes

In this episode we discuss Tijen’s new book, Genco Method Coaching with Precision: Establishing Coaching Agreement with Mastery and Coaching with Superior Efficiency and Effectiveness under 30 minutes.

Tijen begins the conversation with what motivated her to write the book, as well as how the Genco Method Coaching with Precision differs from other approaches out there.

She describes the differences between transactional, transformational, and transcendental coaching by walking us through an example of a coaching issue and how it would be treated differently depending on the approach being used.

We spend quite a bit of time discussing the foundation of a session: setting the agenda and defining the outcome.

Tijen also talks about how to listen holistically to our clients.

She uses the iceberg metaphor to describe the Genco Method Thing Beneath the Thing, and how this takes you to the deeper issue at hand and opens the door to the Genco Method Moment of First Awakening.

Tijen shares her perspective on why not to start a coaching session chitchatting with our clients, and what to do instead to create rapport and a deep connection.

We end the session discussing the series that’s to come!
