Master Class: In-Depth ACC BARS Training for Coach’s Self-Development or Mentorship

Genco Coaching’s comprehensive training on ACC BARS is designed to provide you with a thorough understanding of the content and application of ACC BARS, the assessment tool used by the International Coaching Federation (ICF) to determine coach credentialing at the ACC level. This training is open to anyone who has completed their coach training and wishes to learn more about how ICF Competencies behaviorally demonstrated at the ACC level, whether they intend to enhance their learning to support themselves as they prepare for their credentialing submission of their recording or wish to mentor others for ACC credentialing submission.

    • BARS as an Assessment Tool: Overview of the Behaviorally Anchored Rating Scale (BARS) as a measurement tool.
    • Understanding ICF Core Competencies Concerning ACC BARS: How ICF Core Competencies are measured through ACC BARS.
  • Practice: ACC BARS Applications in Coaching Sessions.
    • Coaching Labs
      • Applying ACC BARS in real-world coaching scenarios.
      • Case studies and ACC BARS assessment and feedback offering exercises.

Course Structure

This series consists of an ACC BARS Overview Master Class and Practice Sessions. The series begins with a 90-minute Master Class overview of the ACC BARS and how they are used to assess a coach’s behavior in a coaching conversation. After this session, the rest of the series is hosted as mentor-guided discussions. The group discusses previously submitted coach recordings to understand and assess the coach’s demonstration of the competencies via ACC BARS as an assessment tool under Tijen’s supervision.

Course Participation Requirements

  • Having completed a coach training course.
  • Have a coaching conversation recording. This recording will be submitted for the participants’ review and group discussion.
