How to Invoke Authentic Gratitude

Have you ever tried feeling grateful, and it just felt so forced?

In our 11th episode of Coaching With Mastery and Elegance With Tijen Genco, we discuss cultivating authentic gratitude.

Many believe gratitude is about using tools such as gratitude journals, affirmations, and positive thinking, but Tijen sees it differently. She sees it as welcoming, invoking, and appreciating what is and the value an experience can offer us.

Tijen calls out what she sees as “positivity bullying” and calls for the grace and spaciousness to go into the depths of our emotions, which she sees as an invitation to know yourself more deeply, to develop more strength and resilience, and to experience a more holistic way of being human.

We also discuss how to go from losing power or victimization to self-sovereignty without the judgment attached to our cultural norms.

Genco Method Five Steps to Resilience Coaching with Mastery and Elegance with Tijen Genco

In this episode of Coaching With Mastery & Elegance With Tijen Genco, we dive into understanding resilience and Tijen’s unique approach to cultivating it. Tijen puts it best when she says, “Every adversity comes with the potential to develop superpowers. Our response to shrinking when facing challenges often keeps us from that potential." Adversity can be an invitation to relate to life differently, one in which we partner with our challenges to expand our capacity and reach our full potential instead of seeing them as “something to get rid of,” which Tijen refers to as the ultimate cognitive distortion. We discuss Tijen’s upcoming Group Coaching Program, Rising Through Resilience, where she will coach her participants to help them cultivate more resilience to develop an authentic partnership with themselves, create from a place of inner harmony and trust, and maximize their potential for expansion.  The links mentioned during this episode: Genco Method 5 Steps to Resilience YouTube Playlist Rising Through Resilience Five Weeks Group Coaching Program
