Anxiety, Hypervigilance, Aggression, Shame, and Resilience

Unprocessed emotional experiences may result in anxiety, hypervigilance, aggression, and shame responses in the individual when a similar situation is in the person’s reality, reminding them of that experience. The issue is that we are often unaware of what is happening and wonder what is causing us to respond strongly to an event that does not require a reaction of that magnitude. This could be your clue about the unresolved experience and incomplete signaling of the nervous system. In the human developmental aspect, this indicates that the person has not fully understood, integrated, or grown through that experience that resulted in such a response.

Genco Methodology’s approach to human development is working with the clients gently to develop additional perspectives that were not available to them before to reframe the experience so that they can understand and appreciate how they shaped them into the being they are. Therefore, I tell my clients and students that every challenging experience has significant potential waiting to be realized.

If you are demonstrating a high degree of reactivity to certain events and wondering how to develop superpowers around your challenging experiences, join us for the upcoming Group Coaching event on developing resilience. I will coach the group participants toward their resilient superpowers during this Five-Week event.
