Sitting with yourself and taking an honest moment to think about how you respond to life and its effects produces significant self-awareness and an opportunity to integrate undigested life. Reflection requires courage. When it is done alone it is pretty helpful. When done alone and followed up with sharing your reflections in a safe space alongside a mentor, it provides further compassion, thoughtfulness, compassion, and integration capacity for the experiences.
